Tammy Blake Karen Bohacek Kirk is a graduate student in geology at Montana State University, where she is researching groundwater resources to provide a future water supply for the city of Bozeman. Karen writes, “This research is a followup to the ES 105 class that I taught at Skidmore, which was all about Saratoga’s water supply.” She spent most of last summer “hiking all over the mountains to measure streams and rocks. I even get to see bears, moose, and elk. But the bears are the ones that really get my attention.”
Corina Chin Lu May 31 to June 3 marks Reunion Weekend and our 10th.
Alan Osetek has founded an e-marketing services firm in Framingham, MA. He is the father of Alex, 3, and Zachary, 1.
Amity Lenahan Fowler Christian Leland is a full-time designer at a new Internet company called UPromise.com. The company, he says, “will help every family afford college tuition!”
Craig Lapham wed Catherine Dunning in NYC in December 2000. Craig manages the New York office of the Lapham Group, an executive search firm. His bride is a former sales manager for AllAdvantage.com, an Internet advertising firm.
Joanna Flynn Amy Viens married John Hutchinson in June 2000 in Harvard, MA. Guests included Mark Parobeck ’92, Meg Brown Parobeck, Dayna Safran-Muller, and Dave Balter.
Dario Shuster has been accepted into St. George’s Medical College in Grenada. He will maintain his current mailing address of 137-05 Newport Avenue, Belle Harbor, NY 11694-1348.
Chanel Greene Harvey Williamson is co-owner of Argyle Publishing Company, a privately held Colorado firm that specializes in publications for the legal profession. He earned his law degree at the University of Colorado and is a practicing attorney in Lakewood, CO.
Maureen Hayes received her M.S.W. from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1999. She is a mental health therapist at a homeless shelter for single adults and families in northern Virginia.
Lisa Pyne married Scott Donovan in June 2000. The couple wed on a small island off the coast of Maine. Skidmore alumnae in attendance included bridesmaids Kate Hnatow Richard, Megan Squibb, Megan Hnatow ’98, and Marian Davidson Brodney.
Kate Poirot Harnish and husband Jason announce the birth of Austin Michael in October 2000.
Keirnan Conroy Klosek I have added on the position of class secretary to my duties as president of the Class of 1995.
Jeremy Dyen is playing piano and keyboards for the Philadelphia-based hip-hop group Fathead. Jeremy and the band will be touring the East Coast and midwestern U.S. this year.
In the fall 2000 Class Notes, Joanne Ladolcetta was surprised to read that she had “shown Lynette Johnson-Piper some island-style fun when Lynette visited her in the Bahamas,” and then had “left the islands to pursue work as a fine art photographer in London.” Joanne wants to set the record straight. “I think someone got me mixed up with my friend Blue Curry. Lynette had visited Blue, who is from the Bahamas. He now resides in London and works as a photographer there. I live in Los Angeles, and have just finished up some effects work for Charlie’s Angels. I visited Blue in the Bahamas this past summer. Maybe that’s where the confusion happened.”

Maria Maricela Alvarez will graduate from Cardozo School of Law in June. She has already been offered a position as a patent attorney in the Los Angeles firm of Brown, Raysman, Millstein, Felder & Steiner.

Jason Bodner is still composing music in NYC. He served as assistant composer and conductor at Lincoln Center for the world premiere of the ballet Double Exposure by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Emily Leckman and Henrik Westin ’97 were married in December 2000 in Hamden, CT. John Dickerson ’97 was best man; bridesmaids included Katherine Asmuth, Carrie Durant, and Laure Neiman. The wedding was photographed by Annie Venier.
Allison Gray Costa Catherine Butler is art director at a design firm in Houston, TX. Last September, she and her fiancé made a trip to San Francisco, CA, where they dined with Sophia Campodonico.
Abe Francis-Fallon lives in Rochester, NY. In addition to running his own business, he is pursuing graduate study.
Jen Toron Sargent and her husband, Jon, live in Falls Church, VA. Jen works at a small consulting firm in Fairfax.
Leah Tomaszewski is teaching European history at her alma mater, Phillips Exeter Academy. She is also the girls’ crew coach and a resident dorm parent.
Sarah Lewy recently received her master’s in biology from NYU. She now works in the field of pharmaceutical marketing.
Gina Kapustin married Darren Schenkler in November 2000. Upon returning from their honeymoon in Hawaii and Thailand, they ran into Janice Simsohn in the airport. Gina spent Christmas with Simmin Terry.
John Dickerson is in the M.B.A. program at Syracuse. He was best man at the wedding of Henrik Westin and Emily Lechman ’96. Brian Ostrowski ’96, Allyson Montana, Joe Hayes, Jon Hills, Adrien Blanc, and Rand Faukenberry were also in attendance.
Tamara Astacio Llano graduated from the University of Illinois with a master’s in kinesiology in 1999. She is living in Savoy, IL, with her husband, Daniel, and their 15-month-old son, Gabriel.
Katie Naftzger is a social worker at Brookline Community Mental Health Center in Brookline, MA. She is also completing a fellowship at Children’s Hospital in Boston.
Allison Casey has been living in Austin, TX, for the past three years. She received her master’s in accounting from UT-Austin and is now working at Whole Foods as the national financial auditor.
Christina Sarazen married John Chisholm in August 2000 in Boston, MA. Carolyn Anderson, Liz Brooks, Isabelle deTrabuc, and Marissa Goodman were all in the wedding.
Vanessa Mann is at Fordham University working toward an M.S. in elementary education.
Tanya Laplante moved to NYC, where she is an editorial assistant at St. Martin’s Press.
Betsy Rowland received her M.Ed. at Boston College and is now teaching sixth grade in Ashland, MA.
Megan Brannon married Andrew Halloran in October 2000. They are living in Miami.
Alexei Erchak is working toward a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he specializes in micro-photonics.
Sociology major Kristen Scully was part of a team of sociologists whose research on factors influencing incarceration rates in the U.S. penal system was featured on the cover of Newsweek magazine in November 2000. A graduate student in the criminal justice program at Florida State University, Kristen has worked extensively with Todd Clear, a nationally recognized criminologist, who, coincidentally, co-authored a book with Skidmore professor David Karp.

Nancy Carew Magnus Katie Cunningham is teaching art and art history at the Field School in Washington, DC. She is “having a great time, but looking at other opportunities in the arts.”
After teaching in Paris for a year, Jocelyn Ditzel is living with Liz Roberts in Washington, DC. Jocie works for a nonprofit organization that designs international exchange programs. She uses her French often, but she misses Paris!
Kristen Lepore has moved from Albany, NY, where she worked for Planned Parenthood, to NYC, to join a national breast cancer organization.
Nestor Matos is living in NYC and stays in contact with many Skidmore friends. Nestor welcomed 2001 with Anne Watters, Shaneeka Johnson, Phil Ammonds ’97, Angel Perez ’98, Damion Mannings ’98, Raphael Rodriguez ’98, Chantel Moses ’00, Jen Efferen ’97, Katerina McCarthy ’98, Rand Faulkenberry ’97, Adrien Blanc ’97, and Camillo Alvarez ’98.
After spending time in Vail, CO, Ben Ormsbee moved back to the East Coast in search of a job in the pharmaceutical field. He is currently working for Pfizer as a primary health-care representative in Wilmington, DE.
Lani Radack teaches English and social studies in Longmeadow, MA. She stays in close contact with Skidmore classmate-colleagues Shauna Stovell, who teaches fourth grade, and Dina Shapiro, who teaches kindergarten.
Jen Pine was married to U.S. Navy lieutenant Scott Major at the Peabody Library in Baltimore, MD, in December 2000. Channon Brant, Arielle Low, and Katherine Schuster served as bridesmaids. Christopher Constantian was a groomsman. Other Skidmore attendees included Alvin Negron ’98, Nina Hammond Ritch, Theresa Sundlin, Sabrina Hirachian, Adam Kaufman, Scott Bernstein, Andrew Olsen ’00 and Eric Olsen ’89, and Zeke Adkins.
Lindsey Miller was wed to Steve McCormack in Whitney, a small town outside Oxford, England, in July 2000. Lindsey met her husband, a brewmaster at Wychwood Brewery, while studying at the University of Bath. The groom formulated a special ale called Lucky Man in honor of the nuptials.
Gary Che-Yu Wang graduated from the Full Sail School for the Recording Arts in Winter Park, FL, where he received a first place award for his audio postproduction project at graduation ceremonies. Gary now lives in NYC and is looking for work in his field.
Eve Elektra Cohen is living in Manhattan with Alyson Knowles and Tundra the dog. She is employed as a bartender and freelance Web writer; she took an EMT course in January.
