Helen “Hoodle” Bogart Fish has serious eye problems and relies on a helpful neighbor to read her mail.

Dorothy Day Lappen enjoys good health, is active in volunteer work, and still drives her own car.

Helen Palk Booth is looking forward to a visit with family in Cologne, Germany, in May, followed by a trip to Edinburgh, Scotland, to attend her daughter’s wedding in June. Unfortunately, the wedding conflicts with the 75th reunion of her class. Helen says, “I take pride in Skidmore’s prestige among Eastern colleges these days and offer my best wishes for its continuing prosperity in spirit and in program.”

In a November 2001 issue of the New York Times, First Lady Laura Bush states that although she collects and reads a lot of cookbooks, “when it comes to cooking Texas-style, I choose the 1962 classic The Best from Helen Corbitt’s Kitchens. ” Authored by the late food consultant Helen Corbitt, this bible of Texas cuisine was reprinted last year by the University of North Texas Press.
