Meeting of minds

Jason Smith ’03, recipient of the Whitman Family Scholarship, meets with his benefactor, Janet Lucas Whitman ’59, at Skidmore’s annual scholarship dinner. Of the $15 million that Skidmore provided in student aid this year, $3 million came from endowed funds provided by alumni, parents, and other donors. Speakers at the celebration dinner included Devora Tabenkin Gronauer ’76, who gave a scholarship in memory of her friend Melissa Mosher Bilodeau ’76, and Meghan Everett ’03, who’s supported by the SKW and Skidmore Employees’ Scholarships. Members of Skidmore’s Cabaret Troupe—scholarship recipients themselves—provided musical entertainment.
