Segrave named athletics director
Jeffrey Segrave, exercise-science professor and tennis coach, is Skidmores new athletics director. He had been serving as interim AD, taking over for Tim Brown, who stepped down from the position after twenty-two years.
 |
| AD Jeff Segrave |
Segrave coached the Thoroughbreds womens tennis team since coming to Skidmore in 1978. With several coach-of-the-year honors and a 375-151 record in twenty-four seasons, he was one of Americas top tennis coaches. His team won more than twenty league championships and in 1998 it claimed the NCAA Division III national championship. With the athletics directorship, he has relinquished his coaching duties, but he continues as a professor of exercise science.
Charles M. Joseph, interim dean of the faculty, says, Jeffs loyalty to our institution is legendary, and his dedication to the important mission of academics and athletics provides just the right model. |
