Hockey memorial
Fifty Tbred hockey alumni gathered at the Saratoga rink to honor their late teammates Andy First 85 and Rich Hiller 92 by playing their reunion game in jerseys bearing Firsts number 10 and Hillers number 11. Then alums, families, and friends joined the crowd to root for the current hockey team as it bested St. Michaels,
7-4.
At a postgame reception, team founder Steven Cornell 81 presented a number-11 jersey to Hillers wife, Jennifer Rebeck Hiller 93, and daughters Rosalie and Mary Kate. Weve all come a long way together as a family, Cornell told the crowd, which included Hillers parents and other family members. And Jeff Segrave, Skidmores athletics director, lauded the loyalty of hockey alumni: Despite the ups and downs weve experienced, you return faithfully every year for this game. You are a model for alumni groups and future teams.
