Jane Geibel Morton is being challenged by some high-tech equipment she received last Christmas, including a digital camera and the printer that goes with it, the navigation system in her new car, and a phone that plays “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” when it rings.

Do Dunkel Jerman bridged the old and new years with visits to friends in Connecticut and family in Virginia. In April she returns to her home in Encinitas, CA.

Marilyn Twiss Sumner has kept her sense of humor despite a plethora of medical problems. Fortuitously, her daughter Carol’s husband has been transferred to Melbourne, FL, so she’s had family nearby to keep her spirits up.

My solo 2,045-mile drive from Cape Cod, MA, to Sarasota, FL, zigzagged between friends and relations, with time also for an Elderhostel tour of historic Richmond, VA. In Sarasota Cilla Wheeler Vickery and husband Don were on hand to unload a very full car and help in innumerable other ways to get me happily resettled. It’s nice to be back! I expect to have a permanent address here by August. In the meantime, please send your news to the address below.

In November I saw Lee Hart McLean at the Skidmore club lunch on Siesta Key, FL. I’ve also gotten together with Sylvia Watkins Allen for lunch several times. It was a treat to see Sylvia’s studio setup and much of her artwork. She’s still taking lessons, too.

Anne Hayes Huppuch, who died in February, was well-known for her efficiency in handling the files and the mail in Skidmore’s admissions office, where she worked for 20 years. Associate director of admissions Diana Murphy says Anne “loved Skidmore, had a great personality, and brought a lot of spark to the file room. She was dedicated to her work and very reliable. She was a wonderful friend and we all loved her.”
