Char Lamson Clarke was delighted to have Betty Howe Shannon and Debbie Phillips visit her home in Naples, FL, while each was visiting friends there. Char was also floored to receive snapshots of six miniature rooms from Nancy Angell DuBois, who had created them from the collaborative craft book on period dollhouse furniture that Char published in 1975.
Last spring Pat Gove Williams, husband Craig, their daughter-in-law, and granddaughter had a two-island experience in Hawaii. While on Kauai, they stayed in a condo; on the Big Island they shared a cabin in a national park. Pat and Craig got dumped while kayaking, but they dried out quickly in the warm climate. In June they realized a longtime dreamof seeing the Canadian Rockies. The tour was enlivened by the companionship of roommate Bobbie Fee Dickason and husband John.
Last September Syl Shaw Brandhorst visited Sally Sanderson Cutler along with Ann Shaaber Campney and Jan Tinsley Fiske. They enjoyed a great meal and golf at Sals club. On her way home to Florida in October, Syl was connected with Elinor Reponen Cronin and Jackie Travis McNally in Burlington, MA.
I received word from Jeanne Clark Saulniers husband Rene that Jeanne, who suffers from aphasia (a language disorder caused by brain damage) is now in an assisted-living facility in Centerville, MA (Rene says interested classmates can send cards or notes to her there). Jeanne was so happy to have us meet one of her sons and his family at Reunion in 2003.
Natalie Jones Neris most recent sighting of 53ers occurred last July when Mary Lyman Heist, Sally Sanderson Cutler, Ann Shaaber Campney, and Sally Sprague Marvin gathered at Tils for two days of fun, including a trip on her husbands boat to see the Tall Ships in Connecticuts Niantic Bay.
A correction: Natalie Jones Neri was erroneously identified as class fund chair in the fall issue of Scope; she was, in fact, expressing her appreciation of the actual fund co-chairs, Mary Lyman Heist and Judy McEndy Lynch.
