Pia Scala is pursuing graduate work in psychology and living in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, with boyfriend Jimmy Zankel, a senior producer at the Food Network. Surprisingly, Jimmy and Pia didn’t know one another as Skidmore students. They were introduced a year ago by dear friends Randall Bachner and Lauren Gropp Lowry; they’ve been together ever since.

Dan Barsness and wife Ava are living happily in Victoria, MN, with daughters Jenna, 4, and Megan, 2. Dan is a global marketing manager for BOC Edwards.

Evan Olson and wife Elizabeth Dodge Olson ’93 announce the opening of Laundromutt, a self-service dog wash and dog lounge in Cambridge, MA. After 10 years of wildlife and environmental work with wolves, Bitsy enjoys days filled with happy (and clean) dogs and great pet owners. Evan is still head animator for Olive Jar Studios. For more information visit www.laundromutt.com.

Kenneth Mandell and wife Jacquelyn welcomed son Zachary in August. A cardiologist in Boca Raton, FL, Kenneth would love to hear from old friends at kenmandell@hotmail.com.

With sadness we report the unexpected death of Kurt and Karl Speers’ father in February; Dick Speers was an associate professor of math at Skidmore.
