Virtually all of Jennifer’s family pictures and heirlooms, furniture, toys, clothes, and memories were destroyed. Worst of all, she also lost a friend, ex-husband Martin Cline, who was an officer in the US Air Force and had been given the OK to shelter elsewhere than on-base. Jennifer is currently living in Wynantskill, NY, with a friend. She encourages classmates who are willing and able to look in on children in the Katrina-stricken area; many of them do not have schools to return to yet and are in real need of basics.
