Ellen Carney Granda loved Chicago’s early snow this year because son Will, 5, “digs the white stuff.” Skating lessons are in the works—Skidmore hockey Class of 2023? Ellen and her husband, Joe, still live in the leafy ’burb of Lake Bluff, IL. “Jobs are great, kid is great (though saucy), and we are getting better acquainted with our friend the treadmill as we creep toward 40.”

During the school year Christina Tivnan lives the life of Riley in the DC area, where she teaches, and bounces back to the Cape for holiday breaks and summer fun.

Jeff Freedman and wife Lisa happily announce the birth of son Drew in September. He joins sisters Ellie, 8, and Melanie, 5. Earlier this year, Jeff co-founded an Internet marketing firm, Marathon Media Group. “Between the new venture and our new arrival, it’s been a great year,” says Jeff.

Rachel Singer Sullivan lives in South Orange, NJ, with husband Jerry Sullivan ’88 and twins Lily and Claire, 4. She started a high-end home-design company with a business partner, specializing in improving home interiors to maximize resale value. She also continues to freelance as a still-life photo stylist in NYC. In New Jersey, Jerry is a senior project manager for Jones Lang LaSalle, an international real-estate management and project-development firm. Rachel is in touch with Ann Mathes Gerard, who has two sons: Matthew, 3, and Andrew 1; Eric Dolgins, who lives in NYC; and Jessica Davis Godwin, mother of Isabel, 4, and Sabine, 1. He recently switched to the for-profit sector, selling industrial property investments with Marcus & Millichap, the largest commercial real-estate investment and brokerage firm in the US. Chuck lives in Parkland, FL, with wife Jill, a graphic designer, and children Jordan, 4, and Sydney, 2. He plays tennis, is a centerfielder for a softball team, and watches a lot of children’s TV these days. Chuck has also spoken with Jon Gat ’88, who started a financial advisory consulting service for individuals, families, and others. “I enjoy hearing about his travels to Finland to choose new wood flooring for his home, his trips around tree stumps in Belgium, his new friends and experiences in avant-garde Venice Beach, CA, and his critical analysis of Asian air travel routes and airport layouts around the world,” says Chuck. He also speaks with Shehan Dissanayake, who focuses on biotech venture capital in San Diego, is on multiple boards of directors, has a PhD and scads of frequent-flier miles, and lives in San Diego with wife Amy Briggs Dissanayake.
