The January 1 issue of the New York Times cited the dozens of people slipping along the icy sidewalk from the subway to a storefront performance space to see a show called What’s That on My Head?, by “an obscure collective called the National Theater of the United States of America, which has stealthily become one of the most exciting and eccentric young theater companies in town.” Collaborating since 1997 and officially formed in 2000, the National Theater (so named to make it sound as official as possible) includes Yehuda Duenya, Jonathan Jacobs ’95, Mark Doskow ’97, Jesse Hawley ’97, and Ryan Bronz ’96. All members act, write, design, and make decisions together. And, as the Times critic notes, “they accomplish their ludicrously grand shows with no director.”

Ellie Ulrich Zuehlke (ellie_zuehlke@yahoo.com) lives in Minneapolis, MN, with husband Jeffrey and son Graham, 2. She completed a master’s in public health in 1999 and is director of community benefits for Allina Hospitals and Clinics. Ellie still enjoys horseback riding and has run six marathons to date. Her husband writes and edits children’s books.

Christopher Neves married Amanda McLain on July 23. The wedding party included Christopher Wollen, Ben Hurlbutt, Luke Thomas, Jeremy Beeton, and Padraic Aubrey. The ceremony was performed by Steven Sack. Christopher and Amanda live in Seattle, WA, where he is a functional analyst for Starbucks.

The drawings of NYC artist Greg Goldberg were recently added to the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, donated by the Judith Rothschild Drawing Foundation. Greg is currently creating abstract oil paintings of specific color interactions. He sees Bill Kambas and wife Ariadne, new parents of son Dimitrios.
