In Hinesburg, VT, Lexie Reiss was honored as Volunteer of the Week in October. The environmental studies major took on the organization of a new library, the Vermont Forum on Sprawl. She established a database to keep track of all the new library’s holdings, has created a donor’s list, and authored a Web site dedicated to the forum.

Lauren Mandel has accepted a full-time position with the internationally known planning and design firm of Wallace Roberts and Todd, which has a reputation as “one of the greenest firms around,” she says. She says its Philadelphia office is the first-ever floor of a skyscraper to earn gold-level LEED certification. She expects to work mostly in landscape architecture.
