A tour of the trading floor at Smith Barney gives Skidmore students a firsthand feel for life on Wall Street. The December field trip, which also featured a tour of the New York Stock Exchange, was hosted by Jim Iseman ’78 (at right), a VP at Smith Barney. Along with offering career advice, Iseman spoke to the group about portfolio management strategies; one of his specialties is finding companies with strong brand loyalties as well as hidden potential that makes them a savvy investment. “Informative and intriguing” is how Myles Boege ‘06 summed up the day. —SR
