Catherine Offinger and Terry McKee invite classmates to start thinking about our 35th reunion
next spring. Contact Catherine at coffinger@whoi.edu and Terry at tmckee@whoi.edu if you’d like to become involved in the planning.
Douglas Gray produced Respect: A Musical Journey of Women at the Stuart Street Playhouse in downtown Boston. The new show weaves together a narrative and 60 pop songs from “God Bless the Child” to “I Will Survive.” Classmate Maggie Moss Tucker came out for previews and offered expert marketing ideas that are swiftly being incorporated into the press strategy. Doug’s wife, Leslie Koch, left her position as CEO of NYC’s Fund for Public Schools to be president of Governor’s Island, planning the future of the 170-acre island in New York harbor.
Scott Wiskoski left her full-time job in operations strategy with Accenture in 2001 and is an independent consultant. She sits on the board of a collie-rescue organization and spends time
with two border collies and three cats. Scott’s long-term boyfriend Ron Weitzel was diagnosed
with a recurrence of cancer and started chemotherapy in early 2006. They decided to get married that April. Between chemo sessions, they were able to squeeze in a 10-day trip to France.
Afterward, Ron’s condition worsened, and he died in July. Over the course of their relationship, Scott and Ron developed a passion for backpacking throughout Europe, and a special affection for France, where they bought a second home in 2006 in Valence-sur-Baise in Gers. Scott has since returned to France, which she finds difficult; but she is grateful for the support of family and friends both there and at home. Her former suitemate Jan Markham’75 visited her recently. We send our thoughts and prayers to Scott on her loss.
