Edith Cosgrove

It looks as though Betty Eastman Peyton is back in the saddle again. Her children gathered in Florida during the Christmas 2006 holiday season to see her through a lengthy hospital stay after surgery. She has made a good recovery and is off to a grandson’s wedding in Denver; from there she’s on to Arizona to check out her oldest son’s new vacation house, and then back in Florida for a Skidmore gathering. She still spends winters in Naples and summers in Minneapolis. In September, Betty celebrated her 90th birthday—three times!

Last fall I had lunch with Mary Sheen Coursen at her new home at a retirement complex in Queensbury, NY. A music major, Mary left college after two years but came back recently for a class reunion. She is happy to be near her daughter now and is delighted with the view of the Adirondacks outside her window.
