Still on the go, Jane Griswold Mensel has a gentleman friend who is very forgetful. “Maybe that is why he is still with me,” she quips. Her daughter and son-in-law take good care of her.

Charlotte Diment Eckel
is still living independently in her Westerly townhouse. Her children recently threw a 90th birthday party for her. Nancy Drake Phelps was there and “as beautiful as ever,” says Charlotte.

Jean Abrams Roberts has moved into an assisted-living apartment in Cambridge, MA. Bennie had a wonderful time celebrating her 2-year-old granddaughter’s birthday.

I received an e-mail from Kate Crangle Semerad ’65 reporting the death of her mother, Doris Shults Crangle, in December. I also heard from Kimlee Butterfield that her mother, Cloyce Morse Butterfield, passed away this past year.

Also, a holiday card from Clare Pockman Rowland, who moved to Point Blank, TX, to be near her daughter, brought the sad news that her daughter had succumbed to breast cancer. We extend our deepest sympathy to all these families.

I had a super 90th birthday. My son and his family took me to NYC for four days. We saw four shows, took a pedi-cab back to the hotel one night, and strolled along Fifth Avenue and Madison. This was followed by a party in my honor. I was in heaven—being in your 90s is not so bad!
