In south Oregon Rod Birney practices psychotherapy and runs a retreat center with his wife, Suzanne. Son Taran, a first-year student at Northeastern University Law School in Boston, is interested in international affairs. Rod just had his first book published, Cities of the Soul (www.selfsoulcenter.org); he was amazed at how much work it takes to write a little book.

In December Liz Westbrook Hydes started a new job as director of the Junior Tennis Team for the NYC metro area. She is still learning the lay of the land and dealing with the challenges of reserving indoor court space in a crowded city. It’s a good change from her career in alumni relations at Columbia Law School and elsewhere. Otherwise, she is enjoying life in NYC as well as time spent at her condo in Troy, NY; “it’s been great seeing downtown Troy go through a renaissance.”

Coral Gables, FL, resident Lisa Kott Massirman (lisakmazz@aol.com) wants to know if anyone has heard from George Nestorides, a urologist at Kentriko General Hospital at the Aristotelian Medical School in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Portland, ME, resident Chip Boyd enjoyed seeing so many good friends at our last two reunions. She has stayed in touch with three other Skiddies, thus creating “The Fearsome Foursome” with Seth Bershadsky, Andrea Warren Huffman, and Susan Milner McCall. Seth has already agreed to a “Wheel Me In” reunion tour in 2010. Chip (nipsnook@netzero.net) also recently visited Betsy Seed Wakeman ’81 while in New Hampshire and notes, “Twenty-six years is a lot of territory to cover. I am glad to see that most people are happy and healthy as the half-century mark confronts us.”
