Saskia Vandermeersch Padgett completed an accelerated nursing program in 2006 and has her RN. She is working in the emergency room at a level-1 trauma center at Stony Brook University Medical Center and loves it.

Erik Butler lives in Chapel Hill, NC, with wife Paula Jo Stafford and children Anna, 6, Caroline, 4, and Matteus, 2. He practices family medicine in Pittsboro and invites Skiddies who visit “the Triangle” to look him up and “we’ll go to a Carolina game.”

Wendy Van Antwerp Frazier (wendy.vanantwerp@state.co.us) spent the holidays with husband Jay and daughter Karlyn, 18 months, who was delighted with the Christmas tree and decorations, and all the snow. The family lives in Breckenridge, CO, and invites all to “come skiing!”

After years of travel and stays in China, Mexico, and Spain, Trevor Wedemeyer is a published poet living in the Hudson Valley of New York.

In June Joanna Flynn married Gordon Gates in Brookline, MA. Adam Segel, Jen Laviano Swan ’92, and Lincoln Kaiser ’92 (who is married to Joanna’s cousin) attended. The couple lives in Kennebunk, ME. Joanna is a marketing director for a software company, and Gordon is a lawyer in private practice.

Paul Mastriano, his wife, Carissa, and their daughter Sophia, 3, welcomed baby Paul into the family on December 20. The Mastrianos enjoyed their holidays in their new home in North Haven, CT.

Astra Coyle lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina with her husband and sons Paolo and Vance. The property is on a land holding that is the oldest land cooperative in the country. Astra is a Feldenkrais practitioner.

Ben Nagin resides in Larchmont, NY, with wife Melissa Kotlen Nagin ’92 and their children Zachary, 10, Sarah, 7, and Alexander, 4. Ben is a partner with Sidley Austin LLP in the NY office and practices securities, antitrust, and complex commercial litigation.

Allison Schneider Takaoka and her husband welcomed twin boys Chase and Parker on September 19; they join sister Kailey, 4. The family lives in Cleveland, OH, where Allison is a stay-at-home mom.

Ali Cahn Anderson received her master’s in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University in 2006. She is a therapist at a high school for emotionally troubled students and in Tustin, CA, is growing her private practice, which focuses on the treatment of adolescents.

Christine Vigliotti Bonavita lives in Moorestown, NJ, with husband Paul and daughter Sara, 3. Christine is an attorney at Blank Rome LLP in Philadelphia, PA, where she represents management in labor and employment disputes. Paul is an attorney for American Express travel.

In Cohasset, MA, Katie Lord Naples and John Naples welcomed daughter Emily into their lives on July 14; she joins sisters Samantha, 6, and Molly, 2.

Emma Dodge Hanson—who, with husband Marc Woodworth ’84, adopted an infant from Ethiopia in 2003—has started the GRACE Fund, which helps families defray the costs of adopting Ethiopian orphans who are older or have special needs. In Saratoga Springs Michael Harmon (dawglb@nycap.rr.com) is in his 10th year at Quad Graphics, where he is customer-service team leader. He has kept in close contact with Jon LaConti, Marc Nayor, Dave Sweedler, Drew Serby ’92 , Tate Rice, Andre Cook ’94, and Adam Cheris. Mike lives across the street from the racetrack and invites anyone who comes to town to visit to drop him a line: “We can meet up for a beer and catch up on life!” Careful, Mike; we will all be in your neighborhood very, very soon—first round is on you!

I have been enjoying reconnecting with so many Skidmore alumni on Facebook. com. Join up and search for Gavin Bowie’s special tribute to the Stables House. I recently had brunch with Jen Kniffin Jones and Thao Huynh Quan and their husbands and children. All of us are looking forward to Reunion 2008. Thao has already booked hotel rooms. We hope to see many of you in May 29–June 1!
