In New York Luis Alicea (luisraulalicea@gmail.com) is student teaching at Millennium High School and Bronx High School of Medical Science. He is also opening his own consulting business, Orgo-Solutions Inc.

Mariel Walls Bentley and husband Tom welcomed their first child, Ryan, on November 24. He is doing great and hopes to make his first trip to Skidmore to see his great-grandmother, Marjorie Yetter Walls ’33, attend her 75th reunion in May.

Gayley Carillo was married to Peter Avery in October in West Brookfield, MA. Skidmore attendees included Michelle Flaherty as maid of honor, Nikki Verhoff, Meghan Maguire Kemp ’00, and Matt Kemp ’00. Gayley is marketing director at DC Comics in NYC, and Pete is an associate at the Newark office of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. They live in Montclair, NJ.

In November Julie Combal participated in a group art exhibition, Impression, at the A-Forest Gallery in NYC. Her latest work was inspired by her residency at the Vermont Studio Center.

Last June Rich Greeney married Jill Spinella on Long Island. Ross Aresco ’00 was a groomsman, and his wife, Michelle Griffith-Aresco ’00, was also in attendance. Rich teaches social studies at Cold Spring Harbor High School, where he coaches junior-high basketball; he also coaches varsity baseball at Port Washington High School.

Sabrina Hussain and husband Ellert Johannsson welcomed daughter Lilja on November 7 in Roskilde, Denmark.

Kate Schuster Kennedy and husband Lawrence welcomed their first baby girl, Dylan, on April 23, 2007.

Christine Lewis relocated to Seattle, WA, last year to join Waggener Edstrom Worldwide’s public affairs practice. Christy is readjusting to some of those rainy days in the Pacific Northwest, but enjoys being close to family and friends after more than six years in Washington, DC.

Christine Lusk is an event manager for the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, DC. She and her husband live in McLean, VA, with their dog. They recently saw Jessica Edwards-Brandt ’98 when she was in town to take an engineering exam.

Ben Ormsbee married Rebecca Ham on June 9 in Arlington, VA. A reception followed at the O’Byrne Gallery, DAR, in Washington, DC. Ben’s brother Mike Ormsbee ’02 was best man. Also in attendance were Ryan Hull ’00, Andrew Stoddard ’98, Nat Smitobol ’98, Heather Wood Smitobol ’01, and Jason Hamed. Ben holds an MBA from Marymount University and is a district manager for Pfizer in Columbia, MD. Rebecca is a third-year student at George Mason University School of Law, where she is a notes editor on the Law Review. She has accepted an offer to join the Washington, DC, office of Venable LLP upon her graduation this year.

Allison Prouty is the new associate producer for Women’s Project & Productions in NYC.
It is celebrating its 30th year of producing exceptional women theater artists (www.womensproject.org).

Christina Schell is in her sixth year of teaching art at an elementary school in downtown Boston. She teaches 114 kids, ages 5 to 12. In addition to teaching, Sarah plays guitar and sings at local clubs in and around Cambridge, MA. She hopes to spend the summer writing songs, performing, and traveling. In August Kelley Steckevicz Schupak and husband Ben welcomed daughter Lucy. Son Sam, 3, is thrilled to be a big brother. Kelley stays at home with the kids and teaches French in the evenings. The family lives in Westfield, NJ.

Jeremy Sigel lives in NYC and works for a startup company called Linkstorm.

In Seattle, Sara Sloper Sokolowski and husband Matt welcomed their second child, son Kai, on October 31.

Busy teaching fifth grade in Ridgewood, NJ, Shauna Stovell is also planning her summer wedding. She keeps in touch with Dina Shapiro and also hears from Sam Stone, Kelley Steckivicz, Sara Ruback, and Lani Radack.

In June, Carrie Bennett Sunkes and husband Dave welcomed their first child, Jack. He has already made his first visit to the Skidmore pool and loves the water. The family lives in Ballston Spa, NY.
