Rachael Beard and Anna Markowitz have launched the Web site for their education nonprofit, Link Education or LinkEd. They both work full-time for the organization and encourage you to visit linkeducation.org.

Ian Bennitt is manager of government affairs for the Shipbuilders’ Council of America, the nation’s largest trade associations for the shipbuilding and repair industry. He lives in DC and spends a lot of time with Russell Dey, who works for Green Park Financial, a commercial real-estate finance company. Ian and Russ recently hosted a small gathering which included Jason Del Pozzo, Brendan Bellefeuille, Patrick Bigelow, Rich Palmer, Mark Klein, and Matt Ferrari.

Michelle Bernstein lives in Los Angeles and attends Azusa Pacific University. She is pursuing a graduate degree to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Jason Del Pozzo lives in Providence, RI, where he is business development associate at EpiVax Inc., a small biotech company. He is also enrolled in the biotech graduate program at URI.

In Boston Stephanie Drahan is completing a graduate certificate through UMass-Boston in women in politics and public policy. She is also interning at the State House, in Representative Alice Wolf’s office. She tries to see Skidmore friends who live in Boston as often as possible.

Matt Ferrari lives in “the greatest city on earth,” Rochester, NY, where he is enjoying his career as a business owner and entrepreneur. In his free time Matt is a varsity baseball coach at Pittsford Sutherland High School. This fall, he plans to take a sabbatical from his entrepreneurial endeavors, to pursue a master’s in business administration.

Kimberly Giedd (kim.giedd@gmail.com) is living in her hometown of Watertown, MA, while attending Simmons College for her master’s in library and information science. She also works part-time as an intern at the MIT Lincoln Laboratory library in Lexington.

Tracy Murrin-vonEbers lives in NYC and enjoys seeing Skidmore friends who also live in there. She works for NYU Medical Center, at the faculty group practice.

San Francisco resident Patrick O’Leary is project manager for a Web design and advertising firm called Ozone Online. He has become “quite the wine connoisseur” and enjoys the company of Mike Tsoules and Gabe Holmes, who also live in the city.

After two years in Austria, Corinne Stevens now lives on San Juan Island, off the coast of Seattle. She performs frequently with the Sakgit Opera, Puget Sound Concert Opera, and other regional companies. She is also happy to report she was just accepted to the Franco-American Vocal Program in Périgord, France.

Kristie Weibust and David Grover live together in Burlington, VT. Kristie is working toward a PhD in social psychology at UVM, where she is supported by a National Science Foundation predoctoral fellowship to study HIV stigma. David is working toward a BS in civil engineering at UVM.

Our class has two new class secretaries: Jason Del Pozzo (jdelpoz@gmail.com) and Kristen Coates (kristencoates83@gmail.com), who have graciously volunteered to assume the job of keeping us connected while I take on the role of class president.
