Philip Anstey moved from Connecticut to Houston, TX, in October for a job in risk management at an oil-trading firm. He had been living with Jimmy DeLeon for the past five years and now is on his own down South. Jimmy is an account executive list broker at Media Horizons, a full-service direct-media company in Norwalk, CT; he has relocated to Darien. His latest travels to Michigan and Nashville were “nothing too exciting,” but got him away from daily life for a while. Jimmy enjoys participating in two hockey teams in Westchester, NY.
In NYC Mikayla Nemes is a medical assistant in a private practice. She is also taking classes part-time at CUNY-Hunter.
In Washington, DC, Laura Renz is a research manager at a nonprofit, responsible for focusing on campaign-finance and first-amendment issues for the company. She is attending graduate school.
After receiving an MA in English at Carnegie Mellon, Katie Sauer moved to Brooklyn, NY. She joined the NYC Teaching Fellows Program and is teaching sixth- and seventh-grade English at PS 7 in East Harlem. As a fellow, Katie also attends Pace University, working on her second MA in adolescent education in English. When not teaching and studying, Katie took trips to Rochester and Boston last year.
In Boston Evan McNamara is working at Thomson Financial and taking MBA classes at Northeastern.
Sarah Berheide is a graduate-assistant field-hockey and lacrosse coach at Trinity College, where she is getting a master’s in American studies and planning a career in collegiate coaching. Last summer Sarah traveled to Morocco and Tunisia with a group of Skidmore faculty.
