Edith Cosgrove

In my circle, weather and politics were the center of conversation for 2008. Both topics have enough aspects to promote many points of view. An ice storm caught me in a hotel in Scranton, PA, and then in a skid off I-88 into a gully. Three men in a truck pulled me and a passenger out of the car without a scratch to us or the car. I can’t express how grateful I am. And then there is the hope for our new president; all of us will have to help him if we are to overcome the greed that has become so prevalent in our country.

Our reunion is coming up. It doesn’t seem like 70 years ago that we ended our carefree days with problems no larger than whether to play bridge or work on the research paper. At our 65th reunion there were only two of us, and it looks like Betty Eastman Peyton and I will be it again. If you think you may come, please register. We will be marching in first position behind the bagpipers in the parade of classes. Join us!
