Bobbie Gaddis Hitchcock is still “hanging out” at the Breckinridge Senior Facility in Chagrin Falls, OH, and would love to hear from old—“and I do mean old,” she says—chums.

Tomi Kuwayama Tedesco nourishes her interest in ethnic art by actively working in several Los Angeles art museums. She’s attending a memoirs class at the local Emeritus College and documenting her life experiences for her children.

Bob and Dree Mayforth Wetzler send best wishes for 2009 from Vero Beach, FL.

Ellie Coleburn Zoller sends greetings as well. Like a few of us, she has a problem with balance and uses a walker. She lives in a wing of her daughter’s house and gets prompt attention if she blows her whistle!

I fell in my kitchen, fractured my leg, and spent almost two months with my son and daughter-in-law, being pampered wonderfully. I am now thinking seriously about moving into senior housing, where I’ll be able to blow a whistle!

Dottie Fortmann Moss’s twin sister, Rite, who had been living alone in Long Island, accepted an invitation to share Dot’s home. They are both happy with the arrangement.

With great sadness I report the death of Miriam Ogden Cudmore in December after a short illness. She had already addressed and signed Christmas cards, which her family sent out with the death notice. Her children take comfort knowing that she spent her 65th continuous Christmas (this time in heaven), with husband Ken, who died last May. Mim served as class secretary for almost 15 years and was a former class president. We remember her creativity, expressed in watercolors, shell art, and needlework. Mim was a truly talented and gracious person, whose beauty came from within as well as without. Her children, including Skidmore daughter Wendy ’72, ask us to remember their mom’s favorite admonition: “Never lose your sense of humor.” They also ask us to consider donations to the Yellow Rose Memorial Fund, Attn. Maureen Cummings, Skidmore College, 815 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
