“With a heavy heart,” Peggy Talloy told me her dear friend Dorothy Sielaff Armstrong passed away suddenly in December.

BeeJay Huber Billings took 19 of her children and grandchildren on an Alaskan cruise last summer, something she highly recommends. “It was wonderful—I was spending their inheritance and told them so.” BeeJay still enjoys spending nine months of the year in Florida and the other three in Connecticut.

Betty Dornheim stays in touch with Sue Liss, Cathy Rothery Schilling, and Patsy Sullivan Spicer. Betty particularly enjoys organizing trips and tours for the local adult school. She is looking forward to Reunion in May.

Gen Gerald Conroy and her husband have moved into their new home at the White Sands in La Jolla, CA. Last July they enjoyed a cruise from Budapest to Bucharest and on the Black Sea; 95 passengers sailed down the Danube, visiting five countries in 12 days. They also took an October trip to Cabo.

In Vermont’s north country Libby Cone Gardner says painting, printing, and preparing for two recent art shows has kept her “out of trouble.”

Ellen Hart Mulvey is enjoying the independent senior-living facility in Rhinebeck, NY, that she moved into in October. She visits with Ruth Lawrence McComb often and plays bridge once a month.

Rosalie Sey Samson informed me that her sister-in-law Betty Samson Beranbaum died in August. Rowie says, “I miss her very much.”

Betty Bonnewell Stone’s husband, Bob, reports that she succumbed in September to the devastation of 35 years of diabetes.

Jean Dunn Wickenden and husband Tom are well and busy with family. They live in a senior facility outside Ithaca, NY. They often see Dottie Burgess Everett, who lives there too.

Joan Eggers Winston and her husband are in good health. They enjoyed playing golf at their place in St. Simons Island, GA, over the winter. They’ll return to northern Michigan in the summer.

Doris Merz Wyckoff gets around quite well with the aid of her trusty cane. She plays duplicate bridge and enjoys attending bridge-players’ conventions. She has resigned from playing golf and volunteering.

If you are thinking about coming to reunion in May, please call, write, or e-mail me. We need to make plans!
