While I am not particularly computer savvy, a friend of mine helped me set up a Facebook account (Skidmore Class of 1987) so that we can reconnect on a more timely basis. I will load photos that people send to me (and videos too) onto the site. I hope you’ll find time to check it out.

David Harrell and wife Laura Lallos welcomed son James in January 2008. Big sister Helen, now 3, loves being part of a “two-kid family.” David is still with Morningstar in Chicago and keeps busy with his band, the Layaways, which released its third album in November. David also blogs about the economics of digital music for Digital Audio Insider and was a panelist for the Future of Music Coalition’s fall summit. He caught up with Eric Masunaga, who was in town several times over the summer, and got to meet Eric’s young daughter Geneva for the first time.

Matt Santangelo celebrated 20 years of marriage to college sweetheart Bernadette Uy ’88. They have two boys: Alex, 12, and Nick, 16, who are already visiting colleges—including Skidmore. After graduating, Matt served four years as a naval officer before transitioning into finance. He has been at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for the past 15 years. The family enjoys sailing their old wooden Cotuit skiff in the summers on Cape Cod.

Stacey Gerrish lives in Edwards, CO, where she is training manager for Beaver Creek Ski Resort. Stacey welcomes alumni who vacation in the Vail Valley to stop by and say hello!

Jim Moynihan and wife Karen renewed their wedding vows this past December. She is “living strong” in her battle with cancer. Jim says his daughters are growing up so fast. He welcomes anyone interested in catching up with him to e-mail jmoynihan@att.net. He was recently promoted to associate professor of pediatric emergency medicine at Loma Linda Medical Center in California.

Trish Hochstetter lives in Sharon, CT, with husband Ian, son Griffin, 11, and Glacier, their dog. They all enjoy the Berkshire area, riding motorcycles, hiking, hang-gliding, canoeing, and working on their home and property. After 20 years of teaching regular and special education in public and private schools, Trish is now head of Indian Mountain Lower School and a ski patroller in the winter. She skis as many days as possible while son Griffin is a racer. She still sings and performs with local theater groups and opera companies. Trish’s family got together with Chris Weld and Tyler Ingham Weld ’89 this past summer for a tour of the amazing orchards and distillery that Chris designed and built. Trish says their new business, Berkshire Mt. Distillers, is amazing—and the samples were wonderful too!

Scott Kennedy Hamilton has been busy promoting his documentary film The Garden. It won best documentary at the AFI Silverdocs Film Festival and the Camden International Film Festival (view the trailer at www.thegardenmovie.com). Antonia Calzetti braved a snowstorm to attend the screening of the film in NYC in December and said it was amazing! Upon hearing of Scott’s Oscar nomination, Gary Bader phoned to congratulate him, and they reminisced and talked about our next reunion. Gary lives in Boca Raton, FL, where he is a CPA. His company is expanding to a new office in Ft. Lauderdale and has a new Web site: www.baderandcompany.com. Gary offers special discounts to Skidmore alumni.

Gregory Alan Rutchik lives in sunny California. He founded the Arts and Technology Law Group in 1993, which focuses on business and intellectual-property litigation. Gregory is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in California, Connecticut, New York, and D.C. You can learn more about his company at www.theartsandtechnologylawgroup.com.

Steven Knobel is president of Mitchell, Maxwell & Jackson Inc., a New York–based regional appraisal company. Steven still hangs with Oak A boys Christian Hillabrant and Greg Lutin, and runs into Michael Sheinfield occasionally. He has also reconnected with a lot of Skiddies on Facebook.

In December Amy Baptiste Nelson visited NYC for a long weekend and had time to catch up with Anne Bennett Byers, Christine Callahan Rasnake, and Ceci Zak McGuire. Amy and Ceci also had dinner with New Yorker Jennie Bucove and out-of-towners Jenn Lebold Quinn and Carolyn Ansin Snider, who were visiting friends with their children.
