Marxie Squarcia Hesler met husband Harold during her senior year at Skidmore and is still happily married. They both enjoy their extended family of 32. After years of world travel the Heslers are content to stay home in Kansas.

Through the years Stella Waters Crane has kept up with many classmates and Skidmore friends, including several from the Class of 1934, and values these associations.

Three hospitalizations within the year have been rather much for me, but I’m back teaching a few piano students and enjoying simple pleasures.

Sadly, our class lost Ruth Endres Bowen in March. She was a serious and efficient student with the ability to turn a phrase in a humorous way. And we remember Jessie Rathbone Froemke and Dorothy Foote Chamberlain, whose deaths were noted in the spring issue: Jessie, her red-gold curls bobbing in the sun and her laughter ringing out over a funny story… and Dottie, who hosted the home-economics house dinners and was a quietly confident student with a subtle sense of humor.
