Betty Jones Stern

Art and Alleyne Williams Morison sold their home in Solon, OH, and live in a condo in Columbus, nearer their children—who, Willy adds delightedly, moved the couple while they were away in Wisconsin. “Pictures were hung, dishes put away; new accessories and towels in the bathrooms, all color coordinated. Gosh, we couldn’t believe it!”

Betty Eastman Peyton’s grandson Ben graduated from college and works in real estate. Paralyzed in his late teens from a hockey accident, he defied doctors’ predictions that he would never walk again. He uses a cane to get around and has recently moved into his own new home.

Katharine Averill Foley enjoys discussing books, music, and art exhibits. She recently shared a W. H. Davies poem called “Leisure” with her poetry group, and pointed out the relevance, today, of its message about the tragedy of missing out on life’s simple pleasures. Taddy believes that young children are often over-scheduled with little time to just “stand and stare.”

Our condolences to the family of Pauline North Cogswell, who died in December; she will be remembered for her enthusiastic personality and love of Outing Club excursions.
