Dan Englander runs his own Web development and computer tech-support business, PCMacTec, in Concord, MA. He enjoys the independence of being his own boss after spending years in a corporate environment. An accomplished photographer (traditional and digital), he recently exhibited his work at the Concord Art Association’s show.

Martha Seidner Gelber is VP of Smith Design, a national company that specializes in brand identity, packaging, and promotional design for leading consumer brands. She lives in Short Hills, NJ, with husband Dale Gelber ’84, an attorney in private practice, and daughter Sydney, 13.

Last June, John Morey and wife Diana welcomed second child Sydney; she joins brother Carson, 3. The family (including dog Dwight) lives in Los Angeles, where John is a writer and co-producer on ABC’s George Lopez Show. In his free time, he’s pursuing a career as a screenwriter. The family purchased a small house in Rochester, NY, to allow for leisurely visits with grandparents. John welcomes hearing from Skidmore friends at JohnMorey1@aol.com.

Thomas Brandt is CEO of Trans-Lux Corporation, which operates movie theaters and produces electronic signage.

Roger Stein lives in NYC and works in the music industry.

Geoff Zeger is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice in North Carolina. Adjunct work includes contracts for forensic evaluations for the Durham Superior Court. Geoff, who completed an MFA in acting in 2002, has been cast in various stage productions and commercials. A member of the National Disaster Mental Health Team with the American Red Cross, he has assisted in the aftermath of several natural disasters and at Ground Zero in post-9/11 NYC.

Elizabeth Cowey LaCause is part-time director of the Staten Island Chamber Music Players and working on a distance master’s in nonprofit management through Regis University in Denver, CO. Otherwise, she and husband John are busy raising children Sara, 9, and Michael, 6.

Brandy Gold is a psychotherapist in private practice in Rochester, NY, and writes about human-resources management issues for WestGroup. She and husband Michael Snyder (a writer and lawyer) have a blended family of five children, ranging in age from 20 to twin 10-year-olds.

Marci McCall has been very involved in fundraising for the Democratic Party and says she has “finally recovered” from her father’s bid for the New York governor’s seat. Marci’s business, McCall Enterprises, provides consultation for start-ups and nonprofits dealing with government issues. She has “lots of fun” working with the Women’s Leadership Forum, a group that helped organize the March for Women in DC in April. She welcomes hearing from classmates at mjm1024@yahoo.com.

Full-time artist Missy Miller spent this past March on a fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT, a retreat/work center for visual artists and writers. She returned to Concord, NH, in April to prepare for a large show held at St. Paul’s Hargate Art Center, which included all of the work she did while on retreat. Missy focuses on fine art half of the time and also designs ceramics and iron for the Mesa International home décor company. Her new-found leisure pursuits include telemark skiing, yoga, and singing.

Author and journalist Paul Hockenos, who lives in Berlin, returned to the Skidmore campus in March to give a lecture on “Diaspora Activism and the Balkan Wars” and to read from his book Homeland Calling.

Francie Cotton Chase, a Webmaster for a high-tech firm, lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two children.

Angela Nevard and son Jackson live in NYC, where she moved after two years in Canada.

Andrea Boaz Schmidt and Eric Schmidt ’86 welcomed daughter Nicole in December; she joins Rebecca, 5, and Katherine, 2.
