Closer look

Artwork by Graham Keegan ’04 draws a student onlooker at Academic Festival, an all-day multi-venue showcase of top student work. Keegan’s Solstice, Equinox was a four-panel study done in colored pencil on black cloth. Throughout the day readings, displays, and research summaries offered insights into everything from the social history of Tupperware to madness in China, abstract algebra in quantum mechanics, foreign investments in Mexico, and color symmetry in M. C. Escher’s art. In all, about eighty presentations, involving a record 200 students, caused quite a campuswide buzz. —SR
