Betty Hale is in the process of recovering, yet again, from back surgery. The first round was successful; however, shortly thereafter she suffered a fall (is there one of us who hasn’t?) and fractured the vertebrae that the surgeon had just repaired!

Caroline Brooks Winston took a trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, led by daughter Nina, a teacher in Wisconsin, and grandchildren Darby and Patrick. “What a learning experience for all of us!”

Life in Northern Vermont is definitely different from my experience in southern Connecticut, but it did not take me long to fit into the more casual pace. For the past three years, I have been a volunteer at the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium in St. Johnsbury, founded in the 1890s. Easily accessible from I-91, it’s well worth a visit if anyone is traveling through the area.
