A few years ago, a friend of Elizabeth Hartz Hewitt spotted a Skidmore ring outside a home in West Hartford, CT. Unable to find its owner and knowing that Elizabeth was a Skidmore alumna, the friend turned the ring over to her. Elizabeth intended to bring it to Skidmore on her next trip to campus, but promptly forgot about it. This spring, after more than three years, she remembered her original mission and delivered the ring to a college staff member, who tracked down its owner: Joy Ziemak ’93.

Sarah Finkelstein Harris and husband Paul wintered in their Amelia Island, FL, home. In April Sarah traveled to South Africa to sightsee and attend her youngest son’s wedding, held near Cape Town.

Joan Firmery, roommate of Nancy Frost Klofas (whose death was noted in the winter Scope) during our freshman and sophomore years, extended our class condolences personally to Nancy’s daughter, Leslie. A memorial prize honoring Nancy has been established at the Wilbraham and Monson Academy, where she taught; it will be awarded to an outstanding student of music.
