We missed seeing those of you who were unable to attend Reunion. We hope you enjoy perusing your copy of our 35th Reunion Class History as a way to catch up with classmates.
Alesia Bicknell’s daughter Elizabeth, a 10th-grader, had exams at Reunion time, so Alesia was unable to attend. She encourages classmates to call her.
Cindy Packard Richmond’s award-winning pastel still-life and landscape paintings are accessible at www.cindypackardrichmond.com.
Pam Schick Kelsey was sorry to miss Reunion. She is frequently in touch with Skidmore friends, including fellow art major Loralee Engelmann Strauss, a longtime resident of Princeton, NJ. Pam and her husband own the Kelsey Group, the leading provider of strategic research and analysis, data, and competitive metrics on Yellow Pages, electronic directories, and local media. Loralee’s husband, Gordon, is a corporate lawyer for the Kelsey Group. The Kelseys welcomed their first grandchild, a son born to daughter Lisa and husband Bob, in November. The family lives nearby, so Pam sees her grandson “constantly.” She and John recently celebrated their 35th anniversary.
Jewell Bachtler Harris was a clinical social worker in private practice, and her husband a child and adolescent psychiatrist. In 1998 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and also suffered a spinal compression fracture. Although the breast cancer was treatable, the back problems continued to disrupt her life. She and her husband divorced in 2002. Jewell is now a full-time professor of social work at Idaho State University, which she finds both stimulating and challenging. She also serves on the city’s advisory board for human relations and does clinical work with the elderly. Daughter Hannah is a high-school junior, and son Andrew attends Boise State University.
Jane Converse Miller’s 2-year-old granddaughter is “incredible!” Jane is an educational representative and district sales manager for the American Guidance Service. She lives in Granby, CT.
