After more than 15 years in graphic design, Vicky Morgan-Fickett decided to go back to school for a degree in printmaking from the Maine College of Art in 2001. After completing a two-year art-education certification program at the University of Southern Maine, she landed a “fantastic” visual-arts teaching position at the York Middle School. She celebrates 22 years of marriage to Bob Fickett this year. Daughter Caitlin, 17, graduated from high school this year and plans to study animal science. Daughter Darian is 14. Vicky and family still spend part of the summer with Gail Kessler-Walsh ’81 and her family. Vicky’s mom, Rheta Armbruster Morgan ’37, turned 90 in April.

Linda Perani Waterbury’s oldest child, Lindsay, graduated from the Lovett School in Atlanta, GA, in May. She was accepted early-decision at Hamilton College and will start this September. The family is moving to Greenwich, CT, following husband James’s transfer to GE Capital in Stamford.

Liz Westbrook Hyde is still “carrying the torch” as director of alumni relations at Columbia Law School in NYC, having recently been honored with a crystal apple for 15 years of service. She was also named president of the 119th Street Tennis Association, which looks after ten hard courts in the northern tip of Riverside Park. She welcomes hearing from classmates at ehydes@law.columbia.edu. We offer condolences to Liz, whose mother, Betty Estey Westbrook ’42, died in April after battling cancer. Liz had been spending a lot of time in the Albany area, visiting her mother, who was recuperating from a stroke.

After giving up the sportswear business, Carol Silberfeld earned a degree from the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC. She is looking for a job that will combine her sales skills with food savvy and would love to hear from classmates in the food world at carolsilberfeld@mindspring.com.
