High notes

Former and current Accents sang—and sang some more—in honor of the a cappella group’s twenty-fifth anniversary in February. (The choir started in 1980 as a spinoff from the Skidmore Chorus.) The weekend mini-reunion, which featured a performance in Filene Recital Hall, drew twenty alumni, including an Accents founder, Bonnie Gray Lindquist ’81.

For Kate Driver ’05, “Rehearsing with about thirty-five Accents was amazing; it was great to see our current members bonding with alumnae, and it was lots of fun singing some of the old favorites.” Erina Malarkey ’05 loved “those wonderful moments when we were performing and I saw the expressions of joy in the alums’ faces. I realized how lucky I was to be a part of this special group that will continue on and on.” —SR
