Laurie Lykken teaches online for the Minnesota State College and University system. She also teaches traditional courses at Century College and North Hennepin Community College. Husband Bruce Fisher has become a political activist and keeps his paying job as a food trader. Son Nate is a documentary filmmaker with plans to attend graduate school this fall. Son Zach is studying culinary arts with the goal of working his way around the world on a cruise ship. Laurie adds, “Though the current resident of the White House sucks, life for us is good!”

After teaching physical education for 34 years, Nan Fisher Endemann retired from the Mattituck-Cutchogue, NY, school system in June. She plans to visit children Buck and Amy, both of whom live in San Diego, CA.

Becky Layton Bartovics has packed up lock, stock, and barrel and moved to an island in Maine. Daughter Serena, just returning from New Zealand, is a junior at Bowdoin, and son Foster is taking time off from college to build boats, go lobster fishing, and work on a farm. Says Becky, “It’s a kick to bale hay with our family!”

June Sobel has authored two more children’s books: Shiver Me Letters came out in May, and The Goodnight Train is due out in September. Harcourt is the publisher for both.
