Last May Mildred Herridon Webster attended her granddaughter’s graduation from Colorado State University, during which her granddaughter played the flute.

From on board the Piedmont Peggy Jouard Gibson sends greetings from Greensboro, NC, where she is trying to keep doctor visits to a minimum, walking daily, and “traveling” by phone to visit kids and grandkids in New York and New Hampshire.

Tomi Kuwayama-Tedesco enjoyed seeing classmates at our 65th and looks forward to the 70th.
She is chair of the East Asian Arts Council of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Its annual fundraiser, themed “Travels with Marco Polo to the Mongol Court of Kublai Khan,” will be held in one of the loveliest gardens in LA. Tomi visited family in New York, where a granddaughter has settled in Ithaca. She says, “I might need a wheelchair by 2011, but I’ll try to make it to Reunion.”

Boulder, CO, resident Barbara Ketchum Lahey is still completely self-sufficient and thankful to be “leading a seemingly enchanted life,” she says. Her grandchildren, ages 7 to 24, are a source of joy. Some of them live next door, some a half hour away, and others in California. She has happy memories of Skidmore and figures that although the physical setting is different, the same spirit is alive and well.

In April, after visiting my son Dennis and wife Peggy in Louisville, I was stranded overnight in Pittsburgh by the big storm but arrived home safely on Friday the 13th!
