Pat Boyes Demonet and Gene have been remodeling their house; she reports that it has been “a disaster.” They have been traveling a lot, mostly in North Carolina and Michigan, to visit elderly family friends that she has been in touch with through Christmas cards over the years. Pat and Gene stayed with Nancy Huyler Boye and Bob.
In March, Mary Kelchner Lindner, Sue Smith, and I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with Sue Penney Lindenbaum, who was visiting Tucson, AZ, with friends. She stole away for a few hours for lunch and catching up with us. Ann Cibula got wind that there was a mini-reunion going on and joined in with our reminiscing and sharing. She is still fit, energetic, and full of laughter and fun.
Becky Martin Watson also paid a visit to Tucson last winter, meeting up and spending time with Sue Smith.
Sandra Blair Ohanian and Jack enjoyed a barge cruise in the Bordeaux area of France last May. In June they welcomed the arrival of a third grandson. They spent a week in November in Grenada, a “beautiful, friendly island.”
Alan and I had a week’s trip with New York friends in northern Arizona. Hiking in Sedona and the Grand Canyon’s Bright Angel Trail were remarkable experiences. On our return trip we toured Canyon de Chelly and then drove back to Tucson through the White Mountains. If any of you are considering a meaningful and beautiful trip, try Arizona! Your classmates would love to see you!
