She still volunteers in the school, recommending trade books to third-, fourth-, and fifth-graders. Last summer she visited the San Francisco Bay area, where she stayed with Martha Nelson Fateman for several days. In December she traveled to Vietnam and Cambodia for three weeks before heading off to Mexico on a special tour focused on artisans and artists. |
