Barbara Wonson-Liukkonen enjoys her work in water resources research and outreach at the University of Minnesota, but admits retirement is beginning to look “mighty appealing.” She plans to retire in four years.
Cheryl Montana Fletcher had a nice visit with Debi McLean Hameline over the summer at Brantingham Lake in the Adirondacks. She missed our last reunion due to a niece’s wedding but will be there for the next.
Eileen Crowley Sullivan developed an all-online 16-credit graduate certificate in physical- and health education and coaching as part of her job as program coordinator at Boston University’s School of Education. She enjoys teaching online classes and is finishing the media for an applied nutrition class. She is also researching the history of physical education at Skidmore, assisted by professor emerita Beverly Becker. Eileen enjoyed watching niece Krista Glencross ’10, a member of Skidmore’s field-hockey team, play against Hamilton College, which daughter Cassie and son Brendan both attend.
Penguin Publishing launched Gail Fraser’s Lumby series with the re-release of The Lumby Lines in May. Stealing Lumby and Lumby’s Bounty will be out shortly. Prior to becoming a novelist, Gail held senior-executive positions in several Fortune 500 and start-up corporations. She earned an MBA from the University of Connecticut, and did graduate work at Harvard. A few years ago she moved to rural Upstate New York. Gail enjoys pottery, gardening, cooking, and beekeeping. She is married to folk artist Art Poulin, who painted the covers and inside artwork for her novels.
