Wendy Florentine Parente is proud that daughter Christine ’10 is a Skidmore freshman. Son Ozzie is a sophomore at Wesleyan University, where he is on the varsity soccer team, daughter Stephanie is a high-school sophomore, and Rebecca is an eighth-grader.

Mary Bates and husband John Pucci live in Northampton, MA, with children Joanna and David. Mary teaches first-graders at a local public school and loves it. She would enjoy hearing from fellow classmates who live in or are visiting western Massachusetts.

Penny Studwell Matallana didn’t mind turning 50 in April. “Life just gets better and better,” she says. Daughter Alix, 16, is preparing for college, and husband Jorge has a new position in human resources at James Madison University. Penny, meanwhile, continues to teach special education in a rural public high school near her home in Staunton, VA, a “little jewel of a city” in the Shenandoah Valley. She would love to hear from old friends at pmatalla@augusta.k12.va.us.
