In Columbia County, NY, Burnell Shively lives with daughters Morgan, 16, and Cleo, 14, who attend the Emma Willard School in Troy. Burnell is a business development manager for an international company based in Lugano, Switzerland. She also works as voice talent in TV, radio, and film. This spring she made her debut at the Ghent Playhouse, playing Ida, the cockney maid, in the British comedy See How They Run.
Katy Stenhouse, husband Brian Crouth, daughter Emily, 5, and cat Maggie moved back to the Saratoga Springs area in 2006. They live near the Wilton Preserve and love it. This year Katy launched an interior-design consulting business, Katydid Design. Brian is the national demo coordinator for Equal Exchange, a fair-trade gourmet coffee company based in the Boston area. Katy says, “He knows all things coffee, and makes a mean cup of java!” Daughter Emily attends the Waldorf School in Saratoga Springs.
Beth Kingsbury Norton is married to her high-school sweetheart. Their daughters Christina, 16, and Emily, 13, are competitive cheerleaders on national championship teams. The family lives in Winchester, MA, in the house that Beth grew up in. A level-III operating-room nurse at Children’s Hospital in Boston, she does clinical work in the OR, and is involved in patient safety initiatives. In her free time, Beth loves to sing and perform; she is currently singing with the Merrimack Valley Chorus, a Sweet Adelines group.
Sculptor Brece Honeycutt lives in Washington, DC, and NYC. Her work was featured in the exhibition Emily Dickinson Rendered at Wave Hill in Riverdale, NY, this past spring. Over the past year, Brece has seen Helen Dimoff and Steve Rosenbaum and his wife, Pam Yoder.
Jennifer Wolff lives in both NYC and Easton, PA, with her husband and two stepdaughters. She is a contributing writer for Self and Best Life magazines and writes for other publications as well. She recently won a first-place award for excellence from the Association of Health Care Journalists.
Donna Boscarino Marino and husband Bob are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a bike
tour through Tuscany. While training they are learning some basic Italian. Donna (dmarino@skidmore.edu) is available for classmates and other alumni wanting to discuss
career change, job search, and grad-school planning questions.
Since retiring from the Skidmore alumni board, Vinny Catalano has served as president of the UC-Davis Graduate School of Management’s alumni association. He has also been building his employee-benefits business (www.benefit-insurance.com). In the last year Vinny has caught up with Dave Steinberg, Brian Mulligan, Debbie Peavey Graves, Mike Burke ’84, and Joe Napolitano ’85 as well as board friends Jill Richardson O’Brien ’92 and Amy O’Leary ’92. Vinny and Bill Ladd have been in almost constant contact about Reunion 2008 planning and encourage all of us to get involved or at least put it on the calendar to attend.
In May Susan Magrino Dunning celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Susan Magrino Agency, a PR, marketing, and branding company specializing in consumer-lifestyle clients. Susan just returned from an exciting trip to Russia and Kazakhstan, where she was on business on behalf of clients Martha Stewart, Alain Ducasse, Space Adventures, Imperia Vodka—and Rocco Forte Hotels, for the launch of Charles Simonyi’s flight into space on the Soyuz rocket, which Martha Stewart filmed for her television program to air next spring. For the NYC Skidmore Business Network (skidbiz.com) she presented “Public Relations: Moving the Public Through Strategic Communications.”
Tom Dunn is a shareholder of the law firm Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton, where he concentrates his practice in intellectual property with an emphasis in trademarks and licensing. Tom lives in Acton, MA, with wife Louise and son Edward, 9, who is active in Cub Scouts and anything Pokemon.
Ginny Bartlett and Gene Malaterra are enjoying life in Rockland County, NY. Gene is retired from the New York State Police and studying for a pharmacy degree. Ginny is traveling the world (including Europe, Asia, and Australia) as part of her job at Metlife.
In December Anne Phelps Hamilton opened Kinder Farm (www.kinder-farm.com) in Kinderhook, NY. It’s
a 14-horse boarding facility with a strong emphasis on junior riding programs. She lives there with her husband, Ed, and daughter Molly.
Christina Suarez lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with daughter Sofia, 15. She is president
of Christina Suarez and Company,
a consulting firm specializing in PR and business development for luxury-goods businesses.
