Asian cruise headlines from Joan Stevenson Brennan: Her ship made stops in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Back home, a big family reunion celebrated son Steven’s 50th birthday in April. Joan’s lease of space in a local industrial complex provides two rooms for her photography studio and quilting gear.

Joy Richardson Vidal’s life in Tucson is “happy, healthy, and busy.” She and husband Jean were anticipating high-school graduations for three grandchildren in June; four others are already in college.

Mickey Sawyer recently retired after 21 years as a nursing program specialist with the Polk County, FL, health department, where she was responsible for policies and protocols. She has little time now for golf, her favorite pastime, as she devotes her time to caring for her elderly mother and giving two days a week still to the health department.

Diane Webb Mackey Prescott remarried two years ago. Currently in Vero Beach, FL, she and husband Amos spend summers at his place in Christmas Cove, ME. She also enjoys visits to her children’s families in New Canaan, CT.

Joan Morace Tennille tried to catch us up on all the years since our commencement—including teaching at Ohio University, dancing and choreography at Kennedy Center, and raising two sons from her first marriage, whose “horse and dog activities” led to competing in canine events. Joan trains others in competition techniques. She and her husband, Carl, live north of Richmond, VA, and would love to hear from classmates in the Washington, DC, area.

Pearl McKenney Silvernale took an annual trip to Maine with her sister, the Rev. Chris Wetzel. Pearl’s son Glenn, wife Liz, and their daughter Lindsey, 7, visited from Carlsbad, CA, last July. Pearl and husband Pete are enjoying retirement in Colorado near son Dan, daughter Julie, and granddaughter Nicole. Pete loves watching Chargers games with Dan and fishing in Colorado’s beautiful lakes.

Phyllis Rosenberg Kudan and Harold cruised from Copenhagen to Rome last September and then enjoyed a wonderful week in Israel. They say the people and the country were “marvelous.”
