Two of Joanne Moruzzi Skudder’s three children are now college graduates; the third attends Union College. Joanne and her husband still enjoy visiting Saratoga regularly.

While on sabbatical from teaching mathematics at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, NH, Karim Chichakly is doing doctorate work at the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics at the University of Vermont, developing models for complex ecological and economic systems. These models will be used to inform government policymakers of the expected outcomes, both positive and negative, of proposed legislation. Says Karim, “I have been lucky in that UVM has sent me to the Amazon rainforest twice to conduct hands-on research.” The first time, he met “a wonderful woman named Mayra,” who is now his fiancée. Karim also continues to write modeling software for Isee Systems Inc., in Lebanon, NH. Son Tabor finished his freshman year at Quinnipiac University, where he is studying criminal justice. Daughter Amira is finishing her junior year at Kimball Union.

Paulette Adkins Rainie reports that she, Linda Levis Kammerer, Linda Perani Waterbury, Cindy Rainey Kacher, and Lisa Pedicini ’79 all descended upon Mitty Frenzel’s house outside Charleston, SC, for a collective 50th birthday celebration in April. Adds Paulette, “We had a fabulous time.”
