Sarah Schell Anderson teaches 12th-grade English at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH, and lives on a farm in Wakefield with pigs, lambs, chickens, and guinea hens. She feels fortunate that she has a happy, healthy son Aengus, age 1, who has brought so much magic into her life. Sarah still writes poems and enjoyed attending the Breadloaf Summer Writers Conference last summer.

Scott Bernstein cofounded a Web site about live music, called Hidden Track (hiddentrackblog.com). He writes six weekly columns, reviews concerts, and offers his take on the news of the day. So far he has been able to interview a few of his favorite artists for the site, including Page McConnell of Phish, Andy Farag of Umphrey’s McGee, and Trevor Garrod of Tea Leaf Green. Adam Kaufman ’99 often contributes photos to the site. It also features the Ryan Montbleau Band, which includes Larry Scudder ’99. Chris Constantian, Zach Read ’00, Gus Scott ’00, and Chris Harris have all been extremely helpful as Scott launched his new writing career.

Bill also runs Action Real Estate, which develops Park Slope townhouses into multi-unit condos. He regularly sees old pals Brandon Wagner, Stan Maragos, and Eban Howell in NYC.

Heather McDonald and husband Kevin Rose welcomed their first child, Emma, on January 1, 2007. Emma had the distinction of being the first New Year baby in the Boston-area hospital where she was born and received lots of press coverage and gifts. Kevin was serving as a groomsman at a friend’s wedding when he received the call that Heather was in labor. He was the only father-to-be wearing a tuxedo in the delivery room!

Emily Pick is living and working in Chicago. A few years ago, she received a master’s in early childhood education. She has been teaching preschool, and art to K–5th-graders.

Elisabeth Friedland Polanco celebrated her five-year anniversary with husband Adhyl Polanco, an NYPD officer. The celebration took place in the Berkshires with sons Ary, 4, and Javy, 2. Elisabeth teaches in Manhattan at a dual-language (English-Spanish) public school, and is braving new territory as a third-grade teacher after more than five years teaching second-graders. Last summer, she taught first-grade summer school.

Allison Prouty (allison.prouty@gmail.com) was named associate producer of the Women’s Project in NYC. Last spring she was guest director at Martha’s Vineyard Independent Film Festival and then coproduced the solo NOVA Arts Festival at PS 122 in NYC.

Juliet Scarpa married Dan Ariano in October 2006.
