Beverly Wohl (bevwohl@gmail.com) earned a PhD in molecular and cellular biology in December. She is
a product manager for the PCR line at Eppendorf North America in New York. Beverly and her boyfriend recently purchased their first home, which they are very excited about. If anyone is in the New York area she’d love to hear from you.
After spending five years teaching in Boston, Heidi Black moved back to Cincinnati, OH, to work for her father’s congressional campaign. It was an exciting change, and she enjoyed working in politics. Unfortunately, her dad lost in the primary on March 4. Heidi is currently looking into new opportunities and is interested in teaching or working in education policy.
Emily Bator married Brian Tohn on January 5. Stacie Seidman was on hand to celebrate. Emily graduated in May from Montclair State University, with a master of arts in teaching; she will be certified to teach both general and special-ed classes in New Jersey.
Becky Young Ryder graduated in May from Sage College, with an MS in childhood education, and is job-searching. She is also celebrating her one-year survivorship from breast cancer. She is doing well, and her hair is growing back.
Since 2006 David Chapin has been living and working in London, where he is pursuing an MBA at London Business School.
Floryn Glass lives with her boyfriend and cat in Woodside, Queens. This past spring she directed a play at her former high school on Long Island. She co-wrote it with their third-wave feminist organization called I Heart the F-Word. Floryn portrayed A Silly Girl in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at Westchester Broadway Theatre. Last summer she also played the part of a proud bridesmaid for Loren Kannry and Adam Paltrowitz ’01, who were married August 9.
Allison MacLeod Krenn and husband Bill welcomed son Nicholas on February 28. Everyone is happy and healthy.
In 2006 Shana Melnysyn completed an MA in Latin American and Caribbean studies at the University of Chicago. She is now working on a PhD in cultural anthropology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Liz Karsch bought a house in Orient Point, NY, in October and has spent the winter renovating and exhibiting with the art collective Bonac Tonic in East Hampton, NY.
Martha Hilton will be starting nursing school at Johns Hopkins in the fall.
David Pecchia and wife Juliana welcomed their first child, daughter Paisley, on February 26.
Amy Foss lives in Durango, CO, where she is program director for the Southwest Conservation Corps.
Jenna Ringelheim (jenna@wildgift.org) moved to Sun Valley, ID, to serve as executive director of Wild Gift, a leadership action organization. In her spare time, she heads over to Jackson Hole or Seattle to visit Jessica Infanger and Thomasin Levin.
