Dracula on display
A 1971 Skidmore News was among the books, comics, movie ads, and other Draculana in a Halloween exhibit at Scribner Library. The display was curated by students in an honors-designated fiction course taught by English professor Phyllis Roth, an expert on Bram Stoker’s 1897 horror novel. In assembling the show, students chose from a large, diverse collection donated to Skidmore last year by lawyer and Dracula buff Christopher Giancarlo ’81. The show’s opening included remarks by Giancarlo and Roth, a video documenting the class’s work in organizing the exhibit, and a preview of the group’s extensive Dracula Web site, still in progress.
