The twenty digits of David Porter, president emeritus, and Richard Hihn, music department chair, execute a four-handed piece at “Lucy’s piano”—the grand old Steinway that was a longtime fixture of Skidmore Hall, the Surrey, and other venues on Skidmore’s old and new campuses. This fall the duo used the recently refurbished piano to lead off a series of informal Sunday afternoon concerts (complete with tea and crumpets) at the Tang Museum, where the piano is now housed. Later concerts featured faculty members Joel Brown, Ann Alton, and others. —SR
