Liz Miller Grasty went from being president of a credit union to branch manager of a much larger financial institution, after the credit union merged with Northwest Federal Credit Union in November. Liz enjoys her new role, working more directly with members and helping to “make their dreams come true.” With the price of gas being so high, she is also glad her new office is just five miles from home.
Marty Wakeman Proctor keeps rereading the reunion class history she received. She taught a pastel course at Connecticut College this past summer and spent the fall helping son Andrew start his freshman year there. Daughter Rebecca is beginning a master’s program in contemporary art through Christie’s in London. Marty is working full-time on her art; she will teach a course this summer in Perugia, Italy.
Alesia Bicknell also enjoys looking at last year’s reunion class history, especially the great-looking group pictured on the cover. Alesia regrets missing the 35th; helping her 16-year-old navigate exams and soccer finals took precedence (happily, the team won the state finals). Alesia
is determined to make it to our 40th.
Gail Kern and husband John Shanhalt celebrated 25 years of marriage in August. Daughter Lindsay graduated from Tufts University with a degree in engineering. Daughter Allie graduated from Deerfield Academy and will attend Middlebury College in February (she took a semester off to be an intern at the Kripalu Institute). Gail was sorry to have missed reunion last June.
Janet Sangenito Fagal has been seeing a lot of Barbara Crossman Bell, who lives in Syracuse. They play golf, go to museums, and have lunch together as often as they can.
