No question about it, our 25th reunion was terrific and an excellent time was had by all—as evidenced by the number of classmates still in the dance tent when they closed it down (not to mention the stories from downtown later on!). It was especially nice to see those of you who have never attended before (Alison Wachtler Braunstein and husband Barry Braunstein and Bryan Bernart, among others).

After 18 years with Bristol-Meyers Squibb in Wallingford, CT, Brenda Fedrizzi Korn is moving with her family to Singapore for the next two years. Husband Nate is employed by Pratt & Whitney there; Brenda is planning to work for BMS Singapore. Son Alex will be attending the American School as a fifth-grader. They are very excited about the move and would love to hear from anyone who has experience living in Singapore at abnkorns@aol.com.

Liz Westbrook Hydes is still enjoying fond memories of our 25th. “It was a special pleasure to see Professor Kettlewell and many old friends and have the opportunity to make some new ones during the weekend.” After Reunion, Liz got together with Moore Hall roommate Beth Shipley, who was unable to attend but served as one of the curators of the excellent alumni art exhibit in the Tang. Liz was especially touched by the new Alumni Memorial Garden located behind the Surrey. The April passing of her mother, Elizabeth Estey Westbrook ’42, made the Sunday morning dedication ever so poignant. (Also, Liz notes: if you purchased a Skidmore license plate frame in the bookstore, there are three “l”s in “college.” Contact the bookstore for a replacement!) Call Liz if you happen to be in New York; she’s in the book.

Lisa Kott Massirman and her family have moved into a new house on a lake, five minutes from their prior residence in Miami, FL. Husband Jay was promoted to vice chair of CB Richard Ellis commercial real estate, one of just nine out of 3,000 brokers to have attained this title. Lisa is glad to report that Donna Meadows is fine after Hurricane Rita. Lisa welcomes hearing from Skidmore friends at Lisakmazz@aol.com.

Steve Morrow had a mini-reunion with old friends Rob Rothschild, David Pierce, Chris Deininger, and Robb Blake ’82, in Seattle, WA, where they all went BASE jumping from the Space Needle. Steve says it was definitely “the thrill of a lifetime,” and everyone came through safely. The group has tentative plans to jump from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe next year.

Condolences to Jane Bennett Low on the passing of her father in October. Wendy Collins Gutfarb, Linda Cooke Ashley, and Elizabeth Martin attended the memorial service in Lincoln, MA.

Wendy Collins Gutfarb e-mailed the sad news that Caroline Ferris Farley died in August. Wendy, Collette Reifers Huidekoper, and Sheila Farley Hagen attended the memorial service, which Wendy describes as “pretty amazing.” Over 500 people were there, including two bagpipers and members of both daughters’ softball teams (whom Chippy had coached.) Wendy had seen Chippy earlier that spring; she and Collette were scheduled to visit her just one week short of her passing. Wendy notes that Chippy was a founding member of Skidmore’s women’s polo team and stayed in close touch with members of both the men’s and women’s team, and with polo coach Paul Kant. Caroline’s husband, Rob, wrote a really beautiful tribute to her, which was sent to classmates in October. The class extends condolences to the Ferris and Farley families.
