Howie Statland is the new owner of Rivington Guitars on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. His band, NYCSmoke, has been touring the country. Check them out at www.NYCSmoke.com.

This past fall Spencer Goldin, Paul Mastriano, and Steve Yudkin ’94 served as guest executives for Skidmore’s MB107 (formerly BU107) student presentations. This semester’s case was the Eastman Kodak Company. All three have now accomplished the Skidmore business department “trifecta” of being students in, coaches of, and executives for MB107.

Marie Boccuzzi Cairo and husband Mike celebrated the birth of son Michael on June 22. Marie, who completed a master’s in social work just a month earlier, is currently on maternity leave from her job as an individual and couples therapist.

Forrest Reynolds and wife Jen live in Cambridge, MA, where Jen is pursuing a law degree at Harvard. Daughter Abby recently started kindergarten. They are happy to be back in the Northeast.

Matt D’Abate ’95 and wife Caroline Orr D’Abate announce the June arrival of daughter Grace; she joins sister Sofia, 4. The family lives in Saratoga Springs, where Matt is an officer of the Adirondack Trust Company and Caroline is an assistant professor of management and business at Skidmore.

Elizabeth Sidel signed on as director of recruiting for The Boston Group, an office of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network last year. She formerly served as a recruiter for Fidelity Investments in Boston. She lives in the city’s Back Bay area.

Nicole Stagg married John Medalis in Rye, NY, in August. The couple originally met at Skidmore and had remained friends; they started dating in 1998. On hand to celebrate the nuptials were Sonja Stoerr ’94, Michael Parillo, Margit Erb ’94, Allen Towbin ’94, Liz Thompson ’96, Rich and Tara Connor McCoy ’92, Avi Rothkopf, Ree Francello Rothkopf, Phil Ristaino, Dan Berman, Bob DeMarco, and Marc Lesser ’96. Nicole is a VP at iVillage.com; John is a math teacher and musician. They live in Riverdale, NY.

My husband, Alex, and I welcomed daughter Eleanor on August 28. I am taking a year of child-care leave to stay home with Nora. Quite the native New Yorker, she rides the subways like a pro and feels comfortable in a crowd. Jen Kniffin Jones has already purchased her a Skidmore
T-shirt!
